A woman found her lost wedding ring after 16 years in the garden of her house.
Swede Lena Paahlsson had removed her white-gold ring and kept it in her kitchen during a Christmas baking session in 1995. Later she realised that the ring had disappeared, reported The Telegraph.
Paahlsson told the Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter that she searched for the ring all over the house and even removed the kitchen's flooring, but finally found the precious object while picking carrots in her garden.
Pahlsson's husband Ola told Dagens Nyheter: "Our daughter Anna was at home at the time and she heard an almighty scream from the garden. It was Lena's wedding ring that had been missing since 1995 after Lena's annual Christmas baking. It had surfaced, wrapped around a carrot. Quite amazing," reported the Metro newspaper.
However, the Telegraph reported that the ring no longer fits Paahlsson, but she told Dagens Nyhter that she was thinking of enlarging it. "I had given up hope. Now that I have found the ring, I want to be able to use it," she said.
